Caroline Alcott is an interdisciplinary movement artist based in Atlanta, GA. She earned a BFA in Dance (2023) from the University of the Arts located in Philadelphia, PA. She expanded arts education by spending a month in Italy studying and making performance art at the Santa Reparata International School of Art under the direction and guidance of Mara Flamm & Pietro Gagliano. Caroline is a company member of Atlanta’s site-specific dance company, Bautanzt Here, where she danced on the Atlanta Beltline as part of the company work, Avoiding Highways (2024). She has had the opportunity to present work in festivals such as the Modern Atlanta Dance Festival (2024) and Fall for Fall (2024). In the Fall of 2023, Caroline was awarded the Meli Kaye Artist Residency where she debuted her choreographic work researching the idea of tragedy entitled, “Well, that didn’t work…” She most recently collaborated with the Atlanta based artist, Merryn McKeough, for the work “True Middle” presented Spring 2026 for Beacon Dance. Caroline has performed in works by notable artists including Ashlee Jo Ramsey Borunov, Mara Flamm, Meg Gourley, Curt Haworth, Jesse Zaritt, Nadya Zeitlin.
Caroline continues to advance in her artistic career utilizing her variety of experience in photography, visual arts, costume construction, video editing, ceramics, acting, and dance. She is currently working on a multimedia piece including 3D models, video art, and live performance, studying learned insecurity and the grief that ensues when dismantling this identity. This work’s timeline and presentation is dependent on the length of Caroline’s hair and will be presented when her hair length reaches her hips.
